PRPPRP is a treatment method that uses your own blood in order to improve quality of your skin and treat many health problems.

The blood circulating in our vessels forms one third of our body weight. Plasma is the liquid component of the blood that is excluded from the cellular elements of blood, and it allows the important substances such as amino acids, carbohydrates and elements to be taken up by the tissues. One of the important cells in the blood is platelet. The primary function of platelets is to stop bleeding and help the healing process when a blood vessel is damaged. As platelets contain many growth factors and cytokines, they play an important role in the wound healing.

In the PRP method, a certain amount of native blood is drawn and injected into the damaged area after a special process. Platelets are separated by a special device, accumulated and concentrated in a tube that is contained in the kit, and a blood product, called PRP, is obtained. The platelet in the plasma that is specially processed from the native blood is concentrated 2 to 8 folds to heal the damaged tissue.

PRP is instilled to the skin through the methods such as filling or mesotherapy. Immediately after the procedure, the skin becomes apparently bright and healthy. Aesthetic indications include thin and deep wrinkles of the face, scars, stretch marks, tightening the skin tone, and reduction of aging marks on décolleté, arms and hands. For aesthetic purpose, PRP can be performed alone or combined with carbon peeling, mesotherapy, salmon DNA injection, fractional carbon dioxide laser, and hyaluronic acid injection in order to support the healing and get better outcomes.

PRP is performed for 3-4 sessions at intervals of 2 weeks, and it can be repeated every 10-12 months. A session lasts for 30 minutes in average.

Since the content of the PRP is entirely native, no side effect is faced. Since it is derived from the native blood of the person and no foreign object is used, there is no risk of allergy and other reactions. However, the injection can cause a mild pain and bruising.
